Embraer Phenom 100EV: The Complete Buyer's Guide

The Short Version
The Phenom 100EV is a regional entry-level jet with published range around 1,178 NM. It remains relevant to buyers comparing pre-owned aircraft with the newer Phenom 100EX. Identify the exact variant, installed avionics, seating and maintenance status before comparing prices. The earlier Phenom 100 and 100E are separate configurations, and historical family-wide price ranges require current aircraft-specific validation.

What Makes the Phenom 100EV Different
1. True jet performance at entry-level pricing
Under $5M new gets you a real jet with two engines, pressurized cabin, 41,000 ft ceiling, and 1,000+ NM nonstop range.
2. Single-pilot certified with modern avionics
Prodigy 100 avionics (Garmin G3000-based) with single-pilot ops as the norm, keeping crew costs minimal.
3. Exceptional short-field capability
Takeoff in 3,190 feet, landing in 2,473 feet. Accesses smaller regional airports and shorter runways.
Who Is This Aircraft For?
- ●First-time jet owners transitioning from turboprops or fractional ownership.
- ●Owner-operators (pilot-owners) who fly themselves.
- ●Small businesses connecting cities within a 1,000 NM radius.
- ●Flight training organizations using the Phenom 100 as an advanced jet trainer.
When It's Not the Right Fit
- ●The cabin at 11'0" long is genuinely small — comfortable for 2–4 passengers on flights under 2 hours. The 1,178 NM range limits the aircraft to regional missions. If you regularly fly 4+ passengers or need more than 1,000 NM, the Phenom 300E is the better fit.

The Pre-Owned Market Right Now
Market research reviewed October 8, 2026. Figures below retain their source dates and measurement basis.
GlobalAir's October 2, 2026 snapshot shows three Phenom 100EV listings and public asking prices of $4.65M–$4.995M. One example is 2019 SN 50000409, advertised by Jeteffect at $4.995M with 1,118 hours, updated September 29.
Our reading: the EV has a usable public mid-$4M to roughly $5M asking reference, while the newer EX is a separate, much smaller market. Confirm the built variant in aircraft records: online listings can also describe an older 100 with an enhanced-thrust upgrade as EV-level performance, which does not make it a factory-built 100EV.
What to Watch For When Buying
1. PW617F Engine Program
Small engines with specific maintenance. ESP provides predictable costs. Without it, hot sections run $150K–$200K per engine.
2. 100 vs. 100E vs. 100EV
Know which variant — original 100 has Prodigy 100, 100E adds performance improvements, 100EV has Prodigy Touch and Enhanced Vision.
3. Landing Gear and Brake Wear
At entry-level price points, deferred maintenance matters more. Check these common cost-cutting areas carefully.
4. Interior Condition
10+ year interiors will show wear. Full refresh: $150K–$300K.
