Differentiators

What Makes the Challenger 350 Different

1. The widest cabin in super-midsize

At 7'2", the Challenger 350 is wider than the Praetor 500 (6'9") and significantly wider than the Citation Latitude (6'4"). Extra width creates a more comfortable flying experience for 6–8 passengers.

2. Proven reliability

99.7% dispatch reliability across hundreds of aircraft and millions of flight hours. The HTF7350 engines are mature and well-supported. When an aircraft needs to be available, the Challenger 350 shows up.

3. Outstanding pre-owned value

With the Challenger 3500 now in production, Challenger 350 prices have settled into a sweet spot — 95% of the 3500's capability at a 30–40% discount.

Fit

Who Is This Aircraft For?

  • ●Regional business travelers flying 1,500–3,200 NM missions.
  • ●Charter operators looking for the most popular super-midsize type.
  • ●First-time jet owners who want a capable, reliable aircraft.
  • ●Corporate flight departments moving 4–8 executives between major hubs.

When It's Not the Right Fit

  • ●The 3,200 NM range won't get you across the Atlantic against headwinds (westbound). Step up to the G280 or Praetor 600.
  • ●The 45,000 ft ceiling is lower than large-cabin jets (51,000 ft).

The Pre-Owned Market Right Now

Market research reviewed October 8, 2026. Figures below retain their source dates and measurement basis.

Dated market benchmark, reviewed October 8, 2026: Duncan Aviation's July 2026 guide gives Challenger 350 Vref valuations of $14.51M–$19.76M across its listed vintages. This is a model-wide valuation reference, not a reported transaction range or a current seller quote; the upper end for an in-production type can include very new aircraft.

JetsIntel's September 2026 public model list tracks 24 Challenger 350 aircraft. This describes its market database coverage, rather than the whole operating fleet or an independently verified count of aircraft available today.

The 350 sits above the 300 and below the 3500 on the July valuation scale. The strongest value comparison is a well-equipped 350 against a newer 3500, with the cabin upgrade and remaining warranty considered alongside the purchase premium.

Due Diligence

What to Watch For When Buying

1. HTF7350 Engine Program

Honeywell's MSP is the standard engine program. Aircraft enrolled command a premium and are easier to resell. If not on program, understand the cost of enrollment.

2. Challenger 300 vs. 350 Distinction

The Challenger 300 (2004–2014) is the predecessor. Similar cabin, older avionics. Prices for 300s start around $7M — compelling value, but verify which variant.

3. Cabin Management and Connectivity

Early Challenger 350s may have basic Wi-Fi. Gogo AVANCE L5 or equivalent is now the minimum standard. Retrofit costs: $200K–$400K.

4. Interior Condition

The cabin gets heavy use, especially in charter. Inspect soft goods, veneer, and carpet carefully. A full interior refresh runs $800K–$1.5M.

5. APU Health

The Honeywell RE220 APU is essential. Review hours and cycle counts relative to overhaul intervals. APU overhaul: $150K–$250K.

vs. Gulfstream G280

The G280 offers more range and better short-field performance. The Challenger 350 has a longer cabin and deeper pre-owned market.

vs. Embraer Praetor 500

The Praetor is newer with fly-by-wire controls. But the cabin is narrower, the fleet is smaller, and the support network is less extensive.

vs. Cessna Citation Latitude

Less expensive and efficient, but gives up significant range and cabin width. For short regional missions, fine. For anything longer, the Challenger 350 is clearly superior.
