Gulfstream G700: The Complete Buyer's Guide

Gulfstream G700: The Complete Buyer's Guide
Overview

The Short Version

The Gulfstream G700 entered service in April 2024. Its published range is 7,750 NM at Mach 0.85, with a maximum operating Mach of 0.935 and up to five living areas. Configuration and delivery availability matter as much as headline performance. Obtain a current quotation for a factory position or an identified pre-owned aircraft, then model ownership costs for the intended operation.

Differentiators

What Makes the G700 Different

1. The longest cabin in business aviation

At nearly 57 feet, the G700 offers up to five distinct living areas — a forward club, conference grouping, entertainment zone, private stateroom, and a full crew rest area. On a 14-hour flight, having genuine separation between working spaces, dining, and rest changes the experience fundamentally.

2. Pearl 700 engines

The Rolls-Royce Pearl 700 is a clean-sheet engine design delivering 18,250 lbs of thrust per side — more power with better fuel efficiency than the BR725 in the G650. The result is Mach 0.935 top speed and the ability to maintain long range at higher cruise speeds.

3. Symmetry Flight Deck

The G700 features Gulfstream's most advanced cockpit with active control sidesticks (a first for a civil aircraft of this size), ten touchscreen displays, predictive landing performance, and combined vision system standard.

Fit

Who Is This Aircraft For?

  • ●Heads of state and UHNW principals who need a flying office and residence for trips exceeding 12 hours.
  • ●Families who fly together — five living zones means genuine separation of spaces for kids, staff, and private areas.
  • ●Owners upgrading from the G650/G650ER who want more cabin space without sacrificing range or speed.
  • ●Corporate flight departments serving C-suite principals who travel with entourages of 8–12 people.

When It's Not the Right Fit

  • ●If you fly solo or with 2–3 companions, the G700 is dramatically more aircraft than you need. A G650ER or even a G500 would serve the mission at $20M–$40M less.
  • ●If your home airport has a runway under 6,500 feet, the G700's takeoff requirements may constrain you.

The Pre-Owned Market Right Now

Market research reviewed October 8, 2026. Figures below retain their source dates and measurement basis.

Dated market benchmark, reviewed October 8, 2026: Duncan Aviation's July 2026 guide gives G700 Vref valuations of $73.38M–$82M across its listed vintages. This is a model-wide valuation reference, not a reported transaction range or a current seller quote; the upper end for an in-production type can include very new aircraft.

New G700 positions were reported more than two years out in October 2026; confirm the offered delivery slot and completion schedule.

Our reading: the G700 market is still shaped by delivery timing and the terms of an aircraft or production-position offer. The July valuation guide is a budget reference; it should not be displayed as a mature pre-owned transaction range.

Due Diligence

What to Watch For When Buying

1. Configuration Matters More Than Usual

With five potential living zones and a 57-foot cabin, interior layouts vary dramatically. A G700 configured for an owner who travels with a full entourage will have a very different layout from one set up for a couple. Reconfiguring can easily exceed $5M.

2. Early Production Considerations

The first G700 deliveries began in April 2024. As with any new type, early serial numbers may carry additional service bulletins and modifications. Gulfstream has been proactive, but review the compliance status carefully.

3. Pearl 700 Engine Program

These are new engines with limited field history compared to the BR725. Ensure the aircraft is enrolled in Rolls-Royce CorporateCare or an equivalent program. Engine events without program coverage could be catastrophically expensive.

4. Avionics and Software Versions

The Symmetry Flight Deck is evolving. Earlier deliveries may require software updates that later aircraft received at the factory. Confirm the avionics are at the latest revision.

5. Connectivity Package

Given the aircraft's positioning as a flying office, inadequate connectivity is a deal-breaker. Verify Starlink or Ka-band installation. Retrofitting is possible but adds cost and downtime.

vs. Bombardier Global 7500

The G700's direct competitor. The Global 7500 has been in service since 2018, so it has a more established pre-owned market and proven track record. The G700 counters with a longer cabin, faster top speed, and latest avionics.

vs. Gulfstream G650ER

The G650ER offers 90% of the range in a shorter but wider cabin at a significantly lower price. If cabin length isn't your priority, the G650ER is the smarter financial play — especially pre-owned.

vs. Dassault Falcon 10X

Dassault's upcoming flagship promises the widest cabin in the class (9'1") with flat floor and stand-up height throughout. But it's not yet certified. The G700 is flying and delivering now.

Frequently Asked Questions

7,750 nautical miles at Mach 0.85. That covers Singapore to New York, Dubai to Los Angeles, or London to Perth with fuel to spare.

Reviewed October 8, 2026: $73.38M–$82M Vref (July 2026). This is a published model-wide valuation benchmark covering its listed vintages, rather than a completed-sale range. The market overview links the source and explains the sample.

Both are flagship ultra-long-range jets with similar range and pricing. The G700 offers a longer cabin and faster top speed. The Global 7500 has a more established service history. Both are excellent aircraft.

Customer deliveries began in April 2024. The October 2026 broker report describes new positions more than two years out. Public resale evidence is still limited; assess a delivered aircraft separately from a future position rather than assuming a fixed used-market inventory or discount.
