Differentiators

What Makes the G800 Different

1. Unmatched range

8,000 NM at Mach 0.85 is a full 1,000 NM more than the G650ER. That opens city pairs previously impossible without a fuel stop: New York–Auckland, Dubai–Santiago, London–Perth, Singapore–Los Angeles.

2. Pearl 700 efficiency

The Pearl 700s deliver more thrust with lower fuel burn than the BR725s in the G650. Over 400 flight hours per year, the improved efficiency saves roughly $200K–$300K in fuel costs annually.

3. G650 cabin, modernized

The G800's cabin dimensions match the G650, which means proven interior configurations. But the systems are new — Symmetry Flight Deck with active control sidesticks, improved cabin management, and lower cabin altitude (3,290 ft at FL410).

Fit

Who Is This Aircraft For?

  • ●Operators who routinely fly the longest routes — Middle East to West Coast US, Asia-Pacific to Europe nonstop, or South America to the Gulf.
  • ●G650/G650ER owners ready to upgrade who want the same cabin size with better range, efficiency, and technology.
  • ●Mission-critical operators (government, security) where nonstop capability isn't a luxury but an operational requirement.

When It's Not the Right Fit

  • ●Operators whose recurring missions fit a smaller aircraft should compare the full ownership budget before paying for additional range.
  • ●If passenger groups need more separate living areas, evaluate the longer G700 cabin and actual seating layout.

The Pre-Owned Market Right Now

Market research reviewed October 8, 2026. Figures below retain their source dates and measurement basis.

Dated market benchmark, reviewed October 8, 2026: Duncan Aviation's July 2026 guide gives G800 Vref valuations of $72.5M–$76.5M across its listed vintages. This is a model-wide valuation reference, not a reported transaction range or a current seller quote; the upper end for an in-production type can include very new aircraft.

New G800 positions were reported more than two years out in October 2026. Customer deliveries began August 27, 2025.

Our reading: the G800 market is still shaped by delivery timing and the terms of an aircraft or production-position offer. The July valuation guide is a budget reference; it should not be displayed as a mature pre-owned transaction range.

Due Diligence

What to Watch For When Buying

1. New Type, Limited Track Record

The G800 is the newest member of the Gulfstream family. While it shares proven components with the G700 (engines, wing, avionics), the specific G800 configuration is young. Service bulletins and refinements are expected during the early years.

2. Pearl 700 Engine Maturity

The Pearl 700 entered service with the G700 in 2024. While Rolls-Royce has a strong track record, these engines have limited field hours. CorporateCare enrollment is strongly recommended.

3. Cabin Configuration Investment

The G800 shares the G650's cabin cross-section, so proven G650 interior layouts work. But custom completion can add additional time to delivery.

4. Resale Considerations

As a brand-new type, long-term residual values are harder to predict. Gulfstream's track record suggests strong value retention, but there's no historical data for the G800 specifically.

5. G650ER vs. G800 Decision

Is 700 NM of additional range worth a higher acquisition price (new G800 vs. pre-owned G650ER)? For most operators, the honest answer is no. For those who genuinely need the range, the G800 is the only answer.

vs. Gulfstream G650ER

The G650ER is an earlier-generation alternative with published range of 7,500 NM. Compare the actual finished cabin, avionics, records and current offer against the G800.

vs. Bombardier Global 7500

The Global has a longer cabin but less range. For operators who prioritize cabin space over range, the Global wins. For pure range, the G800 stands alone.

vs. Gulfstream G700

The G700 offers a longer cabin and up to five living areas; the G800 publishes 450 NM more long-range cruise range. Compare the actual installed seating and crew-rest layout.
